Privacy & Legal.
What we collect, why we collect it, and the terms for using this site. Written in plain language, because a policy nobody reads protects nobody.
This site is operated by Claritect, LLC. This page covers how we handle the information you share with us and the legal terms that apply when you use claritect.co.
We collect what you give us, and little else.
We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not sell anything to you on this site. The information we hold comes from three places.
- Information you submit through our forms. The capture form for the seven-question diagnostic asks for your first name and email address. The contact form asks for your first name, last name, and email address, with company name and phone number optional, plus anything you write in the message field. We receive whatever you choose to enter.
- Correspondence. When you book a discovery call or email us, we keep that correspondence so we can respond and follow up.
- Standard technical data. Like most websites, the servers and services that deliver this site record routine technical information such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. This is used to keep the site running and secure, not to build a profile of you.
To reply, to follow up, and to send you relevant content.
We use the information you give us to:
- Follow up on your submission and respond to your questions.
- Schedule and conduct a discovery call when you request one.
- Send you a recurring email sequence about our process, our thinking, and our services. When you submit any form on this site, you are added to this list.
- Keep the site secure and working as intended.
Marketing emails. By submitting a form on this site, you expressly consent to receive commercial email communications from Claritect, LLC. These emails will identify themselves as commercial messages and will always include our mailing address and a clear way to unsubscribe. We will honor unsubscribe requests within 10 business days, as required by the CAN-SPAM Act. If you are located in Canada, you have additional rights under CASL, and we will honor those on request.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising purposes.
A short list of service providers, named plainly.
To run the site and respond to you, we rely on a few outside services. Each one only receives what it needs to do its job.
- Form and email routing. When you submit a form, the details you entered (your name, company, phone number, message, and email address) pass through Zapier to HubSpot, which stores your contact record and sends the email sequence.
- Email. When you reply to one of our emails or send an unsubscribe request, that message routes to our Google Workspace inbox, which stores it so we can respond and act on it.
- Web fonts. This site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser requests those fonts, Google receives your IP address as part of that request. See Google’s privacy policy for how they handle it.
- Hosting. This site is hosted on Vercel, which processes standard server logs to deliver the site.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
This site sets no tracking cookies of its own.
We do not run advertising trackers or set marketing cookies. If we add analytics later to understand which pages are useful, we will name the tool here and describe what it measures before turning it on. Third-party requests such as web fonts may set their own cookies under their own policies, which we do not control.
As long as it is useful, then no longer.
We keep your email and correspondence while there is an active or possible working relationship, and for a reasonable period afterward for our records. If you ask us to delete your information, or you unsubscribe and have no open conversation with us, we remove it from our active systems.
You can see it, correct it, or have it removed.
At any time you can ask us to:
- Tell you what information we hold about you.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Delete your information from our systems, including your contact record in HubSpot.
- Stop emailing you. Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link. One click removes you from the list. We process all unsubscribe requests within 10 business days. After that point we will not send you further commercial emails, though we may retain your contact record unless you also request deletion.
Email hello@claritect.co with the request and we will act on it. Depending on where you live, local law may give you additional rights. If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you have rights under GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and the right to object. If you are in California, you have rights under the CCPA. We will honor all applicable rights on request.
We protect what we hold, within reason.
We use sensible measures to protect your information and we limit who can access it. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. We ask you not to send sensitive personal or financial details through the forms or by email.
This site is for businesses, not children.
Claritect sells to companies and the people who run them. The site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
We are not responsible for where our links lead.
This site may link to other websites. Once you leave claritect.co, this policy no longer applies. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.
